held a groundbreaking ceremony earlier this week on Minesite Road in Allentown, to announce a five-year partnership with , which specializes in health care, housing and a variety of support services for individuals, most of whom are older adults.

A premiere aspect of the new partnership will be a forthcoming ‘Phoebe Organic Farm’ at Rodale Institute’s Founders Farm that aims to grow healthy, nutrient-dense food for Phoebe senior citizen residents and the broader community.

“This partnership is a real model for the future,” said Rodale Institute CEO Jeff Tkach. “We believe that everybody, especially people at the end of their life deserve to eat the freshest, most delicious and nutrient dense food.”

The project aims to support the health and wellness of older adults while promoting regenerative organic agriculture.

Tkach said they consider the partnership to be a model that they hope other organizations can borrow from in the future.
